Ovens on

Banana bread goes in first, then the muffins. The whole corner smells like it by six, which is honestly free advertising.

First pour

The grinder gets dialled in, the first flat white goes to Rob the postie, and the batch brew starts its first of four rounds.

The rush

Toasties fly out faster than we can press them. If you're smart you ordered ahead. If you're smarter you came at 11:40.

Doors shut, floors mopped

Whatever banana bread is left gets wrapped for tomorrow's first customers. There is never much left.

Then we get up and do it again. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Same beans we pull all day, roasted for us in Brunswick every Tuesday. Works in a plunger, a moka pot, a fancy machine, whatever you've got on the bench.

The Corner Press is a demo cafe, so the kitchen is imaginary. On a real build this button opens pickup ordering that talks straight to the till. No third-party app taking 30 percent.
