Dutch, direct, and these days firmly based in Australia. I spent years running the software behind a hospital radiology department, where “it broke” is not an option and “probably fine” doesn't cut it. That's the standard your business gets.
I started Base38 because I kept seeing small businesses pay big-agency prices for average work, or put off improving things because it all felt too hard. It's not too hard. It mostly needs someone who listens first and builds second.

I run Base38 on the systems I build.
My bookkeeping runs on an accounting app I built from scratch. Receipts are captured, organised and made ready for review, and my monthly numbers arrive as a plain-English overview instead of another spreadsheet.
That's deliberate. Before I suggest a system to somebody else, I want to know whether it is understandable, dependable and worth keeping after the novelty wears off.

Built for continuity
Radiology software has to be dependable. I carry that habit into business systems by planning for backups, fallbacks and a handover that does not leave every answer with one person.
Privacy isn't a feature
Hospitals taught me what careful data handling actually looks like. Your customer data gets treated the way patient data does: on a need-to-know basis, nothing shared for convenience.
Documentation in plain words
The systems I hand over include plain-language instructions for the parts your team needs to operate. Clear documentation makes ownership practical rather than theoretical.
