Things you're right to ask.
Hiring a one-person studio is a decision. These are the questions people actually ask before they do, answered the way I'd answer them across a table.
Is my data safe if we use AI?+
That depends on the data, the provider, the account settings and the rules that apply to your business, which is why those are the first things I sort out. Low-risk information may be suitable for a mainstream tool after that check. Customer details, health information and anything regulated need stricter treatment, up to and including tools that run entirely on your own machine. You get clear working rules for your team, not a blanket yes or no.
Do I need to understand AI to work with you?+
No. You need to understand your business, which you already do. I translate between the two. If you want to learn, teaching is literally one of my services, but plenty of clients happily never look under the bonnet.
What does it cost?+
A fixed number, quoted before we start, sized to the job. No hourly meter, no surprise invoices, and small jobs stay small. I won't publish a price list because pretending every business is the same is how you get agency quotes with padding in them.
How fast is 'fast'?+
The honest answer depends on the scope. A focused automation can take days; a complete website or connected workflow takes longer because the decisions, content, data, testing and handover all matter. I set the scope and milestones before we start. The Showroom demonstrates the standard of the finished work, how it operates and where human choices stay in control. It is not a promise that every business needs the same amount of time.
What happens if something breaks after you leave?+
I design around the obvious failure points, drawing on the habits I learned while running hospital systems. The handover explains the parts your team needs to operate, and I stay reachable if something does go wrong. No ticket queues or anonymous support desk. You message me, I answer.
Do I actually own what you build?+
Outright. Code, content, accounts, domains, the lot, in your name from day one. If we part ways tomorrow, you keep access to everything and nothing is held hostage. I win repeat business by being good, not by locking the door.
You're one person. What if you're sick, busy or on a plane?+
The systems are designed to keep running without me actively operating them. For the building itself, I keep a deliberately small roster of clients so nobody queues behind a bigger fish. I keep project status visible, and the person doing the work is also the person answering your messages.
Can you work with what I already have?+
Yes, and I prefer to. The best system is the one your team already half-knows. I build around your existing tools where they're good, replace them where they're costing you, and tell you honestly which is which.
Got a question that isn't here?
That's the best kind. Bring it along.
